Setting Up BillBook for Restaurants, Salons & Service Centers

BillBook provides specialized modules to help businesses like restaurants, salons, and service centers manage tables, bookings, staff, kitchen orders, and modifiers efficiently.

Enabling Business-Specific Modules

  • Go to → Settings → System Settings
  • Enable: Tables, Service Staff, Modifiers, Kitchen

Note: Enabling Tables & Service Staff automatically enables Bookings.

Table Module (For Restaurants & Cafés)

  • Go to → Settings → Table → Add Table
  • Enter: Business Location, Table Name (e.g., Table 5, VIP Table), Short Description
  • Click Save

Service Staff (Waiters, Barbers, Technicians, etc.)

  • Go to → User Management → Roles
  • Click Create or Edit Role
  • Check the Service Staff permission checkbox
  • Assign this role to employees who handle orders.

Assign Service Staff to Individual Products in POS

  • Go to → Settings → Business Settings → POS
  • Enable Service Staff in Product Line

Bookings

  • Go to → Bookings (Left Menu)
  • Use the Calendar View to double-click on any date & add a booking.
  • Fill in: Location, Customer Name, Correspondent, Table/Service Staff, Start & End Time

Modifiers (For Add-ons)

  • Go to → Settings → Modifiers → Add Modifier
  • Enter: Modifier Set Name and Modifier Options & Prices
  • Assign Modifier to Products using the Manage Product button.

Kitchen Module

  • Go to → Kitchen (Left Menu)
  • Orders placed in POS appear in the Kitchen Screen.
  • Orders can be marked as Cooked when ready.

Auto-Refresh Kitchen & Order Screen

  • Default refresh interval: 600 seconds (10 minutes).
  • To change, edit orders_refresh_interval in pos/config/constants.php.
