The Idea
Inspired by the inefficiency of paper billing at a family hardware store, the concept for a simple digital billing system was born.
Development Begins
Development started at SLIIT. A working prototype was completed by year end.
Mr POS Launches
Version 1 launched commercially as "Mr POS". 12 initial clients onboarded. V2 released within the year.
Growing Fast
Client base doubled to 24. V3 released with enhanced reporting and inventory features.
BillBook Is Born
Rebranded as BillBook with a fresh identity and 32 clients. The orange "bb" mark was introduced.
V4 & Analytics
V4 launched with advanced analytics. V5 development begins with a focus on AI-powered insights.
Scaling Up
V4 refinement ongoing. V5 AI integration in progress. Expansion across Sri Lanka continues.
