Products Management

BillBook makes it easy to add, manage, and track products in your business. You can create single, variable, and bundle products, manage stock levels, and assign barcodes for quick identification!

Adding Products

  • Go to → Products → Add Products
  • Fill in: Product Name, Brand, Units, Category & Sub-category, SKU
  • Select Barcode Type (Recommended: C128)
  • Stock Settings:
    • Not for Selling — If enabled, this product won't appear in POS or Sales Screen.
    • Alert Quantity — Set an alert when stock reaches a low level.
    • Manage Stock — Enable to track stock levels. Disable for services.
  • Select Business Location and Applicable Tax.

Product Types

Single Product

Choose this type if the product has no variations (e.g., a notebook).

Variable Product

Use this if the product has multiple variations (e.g., size, color).

  • Go to Products → Variations to create variation templates.
  • Select variations from the dropdown when adding the product.

Combo or Bundle Product

A combo product combines multiple items into one.

  • Example: A Computer Set = 1 Monitor + 1 CPU + 1 Keyboard + 1 Mouse
  • Stock is based on the lowest stock item in the bundle.
  • Bundle products CANNOT be purchased — only individual items can be bought.

Adding Products with Multiple Variations

Solution 1: Create Combined Variations (e.g., Color-Size with values like Red-Small, Red-Medium)

Solution 2: Create Multiple Products — one per color, using Size as the variation.

Managing Product Stock

  1. Opening Stock — Enter existing stock when shifting from another system.
  2. Adding Purchases — Stock increases when you record purchases from suppliers.
  3. Manufacturing Products — Enable the Manufacturing Module for manufactured goods.
