🛠️ Setting Up a Thermal Line Printer for Receipt Printing #

✅ Step 1: Install the Printer

• Plug in the thermal printer and install the drivers provided by the manufacturer.

✅ Step 2: Configure Printer in BillBook

• Go to → Settings → Business Locations
• Click on Settings (Green Button)
• Change “Receipt Printer Type” to “Browser-Based Printing”
• Click Save 💾

✅ Step 3: Set Invoice Layout for Thermal Printing

• Go to → Settings → Invoice Layout
• Select “Slim” Design for Thermal Printers
• Click Save 💾

ESC/POS printers require two steps for setup:

✅ Select Connection Type:

• For Network Printers → Enter IP Address
• For USB Printers (Windows/Linux) → Provide the file path

✅ Choose the Capability Profile and enter characters per line.

✅ Go to → Settings → Business Locations
✅ Click on Settings (Green Button)
✅ Change “Receipt Printer Type” to “Use Configured Receipt Printer”
✅ Select your Receipt Printer from the dropdown list.
