📌 How to Add a Service in BillBook #
✅ Go to → Products → Add New Product
✅ Enter the Service Name (e.g., Computer Repair, Hair Cutting, Accounting).
✅ Disable Stock Management:
- Uncheck “Manage Stock?” (Services don’t have inventory).
✅ Set Purchase Price: - Enter any value (1, 0, or other)—this field isn’t required for services.
✅ Enable Service Description (Optional): - Check “Enable Product Description, IMEI, or Serial Number” if you want to add service details when selling.
✅ Click “Save” 💾
📌 Now, this service can be sold via the POS system!
🛍️ Selling a Service in BillBook POS #
✅ Step 1: Go to → Sell → Add Sales (or POS Screen)
✅ Step 2: Enter the Service Name (e.g., Web Development).
✅ Step 3: If “Enable Product Description” is turned ON:
- A popup will appear to enter additional service details.
- If not, you can manually add a description by clicking the button in the POS screen.
✅ Step 4: Add payment details and finalize the sale.
📌 The service is now sold just like a product, but no stock tracking is applied.
🧾 Printing Service Descriptions on Invoices #
✅ Go to → Settings → Invoice Settings → Invoice Layout
✅ Select the current invoice layout.
✅ Enable “Show Sale Description” ✅
✅ Click “Update” 💾
