Managing purchase payments in BillBook helps you track supplier payments, manage dues, and avoid overdue balances. 🚀💰

📌 Payment Statuses in Purchase Orders (POs) #

✅ Paid – The purchase order is fully paid (100%).
✅ Due – The purchase order is unpaid (0% paid).
✅ Partial – A partial amount is paid, and the rest is still due.
✅ Overdue – The purchase is unpaid and past the due date.
✅ Partial Overdue – Partially paid but past the due date.

➕ Adding Payments for Purchases #

You can add payments at different stages in BillBook:

1️⃣ Adding Payment While Creating a Purchase #

✅ Go to → Purchases → Add Purchase
✅ Enter purchase details (Supplier, Product, Amount, etc.).
✅ Scroll to the Payment Section and enter:

• Amount Paid 💰
• Payment Method (Cash, Bank, UPI, etc.)
  ✅ Click “Save” 💾

📌 The payment is recorded immediately with the purchase entry.

2️⃣ Adding Payment from List Purchase Screen #

✅ Go to → Purchases → List Purchases
✅ Find the purchase order with a pending payment.
✅ Click on “Actions” → “Add Payment”
✅ Enter Payment Details (Amount, Date, Payment Method).
✅ Click “Save” 💾

📌 If there is no payment due, this option won’t be displayed.

3️⃣ Adding Payment from Supplier Contact #

✅ Go to → Contacts → Suppliers
✅ Click on “Actions” for the supplier.
✅ If there is a due payment, the “Pay Due Amount” option will appear.
✅ Click “Pay Due Amount” and enter payment details.
✅ Click “Save” 💾

📌 If there are no pending payments, this option will not appear.

✏️ Adding/Editing Payment Method (Pay-Via Options) #

✅ Go to → Settings → Business Settings → Payment Methods
✅ Click “Add New Payment Method” or Edit Existing.
✅ Enter payment details (e.g., Cash, Bank Transfer, UPI, Credit Card).
✅ Click “Save” 💾
